Yes, confidentiality is a core part of the counselling relationship. What you share in your sessions stays private and is treated with the utmost respect. The only exceptions are if there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else, or if I'm legally required to disclose information, but we would always talk about this together if it ever came up.
